The New York Knicks bench will be getting a big boost on Thursday night as Alec Burks will be back in the lineup, as confirmed by Ian Begley.
Burks has missed the last 12 games with a left ankle injury but provided a big scoring boost off the bench early in the season. The shooting guard is averaging 20.7 points per game through three games while coming off the bench in all three. Burks is doing most of his damage from beyond the arc, scoring 66.7% of 3-point attempts. The 10-year vet is also averaging 3.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game. Burks could be a low-key DFS option as the Knicks try to keep pace with the Golden State Warriors. He’s currently listed with a $5,800 salary.
It wasn’t too long ago that the Warriors would have been huge favourites in this scenario, but 2021 shapes up to be a different year. The Knicks are 5.0 point underdogs with the lowest total on the board at 215.0, with the under juiced to -115.
