Antonio Brown, Antoine Winfield Jr. Inactive vs. Packers

The Buccaneers will be missing a key contributor on both sides of the ball for Sunday’s NFC Championship game vs. the Packers. Brown was ruled out earlier in the week, so it’s not surprising that he’s inactive. That said, his absence will give Tom Brady one less option in the passing game this week. They still have plenty of solid pass catchers — especially Mike Evans and Chris Godwin — but they will face a stiff test vs. stud corner Jaire Alexander.
Winfield Jr. suffered an ankle injury in practice late in the week, and his absence is a huge blow for the Bucs defense. He went through a lengthy on-field workout, but he is unfortunately not going to suit up. Winfield started all 16 regular-season games for the Bucs this season, and he forced a crucial fumble vs. the Saints last week.
On the Packers’ side, they will have Kevin King in the lineup this week. He popped up on the injury report late in the week, but he is officially active. He was not in the lineup for the Packers’ first meeting vs. the Bucs this season.
