Ben Roethlisberger won’t start for Steelers in Week 17
Despite having a shot at the No. 2 playoff seed in the AFC, Pittsburgh will not but their best foot forward in Week 17. Ben Roethlisberger will be held out to rest and avoid injury as he hands over the reins to backup QB Mason Rudolph. This could be a sign of things to come with other skill position starters sitting in the season finale. Head coach Mike Tomlin has already stated he’s not too worried about his players keeping their rhythm by suiting up going into the playoffs.
With Rudolph under center, almost every Steeler on the offensive side becomes fantasy irrelevant. On the flip-side, the Cleveland Browns defense becomes a great play. Cleveland is available in about 15 percent of traditional fantasy leagues and carries a $4100 price tag in FanDuel’s DFS. The Browns really jacked Rudolph up last season. Cleveland came up with four interceptions while holding the Steelers quarterback to 221 yards on 23 of 44 pass attempts.
Keep your eye on FanDuel’s Sportsbook where taking the under on the total as well as Pittsburgh’s points scored should be a strong play on Sunday.
