Bills head coach Sean McDermott informed WGR Sports Radio 550 in Buffalo that wide receiver John Brown has been ruled out for this week’s game in Denver. Brown returned to practice this week after a stint on the IR due to an ankle injury he picked up in Week 10 against the Cardinals. He was never a lock to play this week as the Bills still have 21 days from when he returns to practice to decide whether to activate him on the 53-man roster.
While the Bills would certainly benefit from Brown playing this weekend, they haven’t let his absence slow them down. Buffalo is 3-0 straight up and against the spread in their last three games. Stefon Diggs continues to deliver as the main target for Josh Allen in this offense as he’s averaged 10.5 targets per game and racked up 1167 receiving yards on the season.
Keep an eye out for Bills’ tight end, Dawson Knox, who had seven targets last week—which almost doubled his highest amount for the season. Dawson has also become more involved in Buffalo’s red zone package with two touchdowns in his last three games. He is currently priced at $7,000 over at FanDuel.
