Christian Clark of NOLA.com reports Brandon Ingram will miss Wednesday’s matchup between the New Orleans Pelicans and Brooklyn Nets due to a lingering toe injury.
Ingram has missed four consecutive games, last playing in a 115-109 win against the Boston Celtics, playing 37 minutes, scoring 25 points, one rebound and nine assists. He has played 46 games averaging 34 minutes, 24 points, five rebounds, and five assists per game for the season.
Expect James Johnson to start in place of Ingram Wednesday night. Priced at $6,400 on FanDuel, Johnson started in a 123-107 loss against the Atlanta Hawks Tuesday night, playing 25 minutes, scoring eight points and two rebounds.
Zion Williamson should also benefit from Ingram sitting out of tonight’s game. In 553.8 minutes this season, Williamson has a 32.8% usage rate, averaging 1.41 fantasy points per minute. He is priced at $9,700 on FanDuel.
The Pelicans are a 9-point road underdog against the Brooklyn Nets on FanDuel Sportsbook in a game with a 232.5 total.
