The Brooklyn Nets are adding reinforcements on Shams Charania’s news that they are finalizing a contract to bring Iman Shumpert to Brooklyn.
Shumpert played 13 games for the Nets last year, averaging 4.2 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 0.9 assists in 18.5 minutes of action per game. The Nets gave up a lot of depth acquiring James Harden from the Houston Rockets they are trying to replace by adding Shumpert. Shumpert’s familiarity with the team and experience coming off the bench will be a boost to an already potent lineup. Shumpert has made a career by coming off the bench, and head coach Steve Nash will find a use for the complementary player.
The Nets return to the court Sunday night against the Washington Wizards and are +390 on the NBA Finals Champions futures board at FanDuel Sportsbook.
