Los Angeles Rams running back Cam Akers will miss this week’s matchup with the Seattle Seahawks, ESPN’s Lindsey Thiry reports.
Akers has a high ankle sprain, suffered during the Rams’ loss to the New York Jets last Sunday.
Since Week 13, Akers has established himself as the Rams’ lead back, responsible for 75% of the team’s market share of carries. During this stretch, he is averaging 4.71 yards per carry and one touchdown.
In Akers’ absence, expect Darrell Henderson to take the lead in the Rams rushing game. Henderson is priced at $5,600 on FanDuel. If Akers is ruled out, Henderson will face a Seahawks defense that is allowing 18.49 points on average this season to opposing running backs.
The Rams are a 1.5-point road underdog on FanDuel Sportsbook against the Seattle Seahawks, in a game with a 47.5 total.
