Clippers’ Leonard expected to play, George questionable Wednesday against Warriors
Kawhi Leonard is expected to play both ends of a back-to-back for the first time since 2017 when he suits up for the Clippers’ second leg game against Golden State. Leonard is not listed on the injury report after the Clip lost at home to the Spurs on Tuesday night. Usually, if held out for load management or rest, it will be included in the injury report. While there’s no way of knowing how frequently Kawhi will play in both legs of a back-to-back, this has to be a good sign for fantasy owners who have lost many games played to load management for Kawhi over the past few years.
Paul George, a late scratch Tuesday against San Antonio, is still dealing with some right ankle soreness. The thought is perhaps LA held PG out against the Spurs to have him fresh and ready for Wednesday’s meeting with the Warriors. With only a questionable tag to go on, we can’t assume anything and have to believe there’s a real possibility George does not suit up for this one.
If the Clippers’ swingman can’t go the way is cleared for Kawhi to have a huge fantasy game against a porous Warriors defense. Without George, the ball will continuously be in Leonard’s hands and projects for a big night. Along with Kawhi. Patrick Beverley and Nicolas Batum get significant boosts in value should George not play. Both men had colossal fantasy nights, with the former Pacer sitting on Tuesday. Head over to FanDuel DFS, where Beverly holds a cap-friendly $3800 price tag while Batum will cost you $4400.
If Paul George does end up sitting, there are many tasty player props offered at the FanDuel Sportsbook where the over is starting to look really good.
