The Magic have had their fair share of injury troubles this season, but it sounds like they’ll be closer to full strength Wednesday vs. the Wizards. Anthony has been out of the lineup since February 9th due to a fractured rib, but he told reporters that he’ll suit up on Wednesday. Carter-Williams and Birch have also been upgraded to available to play vs. Wizards after initially being listed as questionable. All three players were able to practice on Tuesday, but Gary Harris and Otto Porter remain out of the lineup.
Anthony will almost certainly have his minutes monitored in his first game back, but he has the potential to eventually take over as the starting point guard in Orlando. He was selected with the No. 15 pick in the draft out of the University of North Carolina, and he’s averaged 11.0 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 3.8 assists over his first 25 games. He’s done that over an average of just 26.7 minutes per game, resulting in an average of 0.89 FanDuel points per minute.
The Magic are currently listed as 2.5-point home underdogs vs. the Wizards on FanDuel Sportsbook.
