Curtis Samuel Questionable vs. Packers
Samuel was able to get in a limited practice session on Thursday, but he is officially listed as questionable for Saturday’s game vs. the Packers with a hamstring injury. Samuel was not listed on the injury report on Wednesday, so his inclusion on Thursday is a bit odd. It’s possible that he tweaked his hamstring at practice on Wednesday, so hopefully we get a bit more clarity with this situation before kickoff.
Samuel got off to a slow start this season, but he has come on strong recently. He’s finished with at least 10.2 FanDuel points in six of his past seven games, and he’s logged at least nine targets in three of his past five. Samuel has also seen some work out of the backfield, and that should continue with Christian McCaffrey not expected to play.
D.J. Moore is expected to return to the lineup after missing last week’s contest, and he should step right into his usual workload. Moore and Robby Anderson have operated as the Panther’s 1A and 1B receiving options this season, with both players accounting for at least 36.5% of the team’s air yards.
Even with Moore back in the lineup, Samuel would be an appealing fantasy option if he’s able to suit up.
The Panthers are 7.5-point underdogs vs. the Packers on FanDuel Sportsbook, and the total currently sits at 51.5 points.
