Danilo Gallinari (Ankle) Ruled Out Friday vs. Nets
December 31Matt LaMarcaSportsGrid
The Hawks have released a length injury report in advance of Friday’s showdown vs. the Nets. Gallinari has been ruled out with an ankle injury, which will mark his third missed game of the season. He was able to return to the court Wednesday vs. the Nets but was limited to just three points off the bench.
As for the rest of the roster, Trae Young (calf) is listed as probable, De’Andre Hunter (knee) is questionable, and Rajon Rondo (knee) and Tony Snell (foot) have both been ruled out. If Hunter is unable to suit up, it would open up a bunch of playing time on the wing with Gallinari already out of the lineup. Bogdan Bogdanovic, Cam Reddish, and Kevin Huerter figure to be the primary beneficiaries in that situation.
The Hawks and Nets played a thrilling contest on Wednesday, so let’s hope the rematch can live up to it. They combined for 286 points, and the Nets were able to secure a four-point victory in Brooklyn.
