Ezekiel Elliott misses third straight practice, questionable vs 49ers
The Cowboys’ disappointing, injury-ravaged season is all but over, sitting two games back in the NFC East but not quite as the big name injuries continue to linger. Ezekiel Elliott missed his third and final practice of the week and is listed as questionable on the injury report. According to The Athletic’s Jon Machota, Elliott is expected to play but could be limited.
The Cowboys back has played in all 13 games this season but has continually been bothered by a nagging calf injury. It’s shown on the field as well, with Elliott rushing for career-lows with 64 yards a game on 3.9 per carry. The one-time, can’t-miss RB1 has just one 100 yard rushing game to his credit this season and continues to lose touches to Tony Pollard.
Pollard could be a sneaky pick up for teams in their fantasy semis. The former Memphis Tiger is available in more than 75% of leagues. He also comes cheap in FanDuel DFS, going for just $4700. Even if Elliott plays, Pollard should still have some value against the 49ers.
San Fran is out of the playoff picture, having lost five of their past six games and may have very well packed it in for the year.
