Sunday’s NHL Outdoors matchup between the Philadelphia Flyers and Boston Bruins was moved to 7:30 p.m. Eastern due to weather.
“The decision was made to change the start time of Honda NHL Outdoors Sunday between the Bruins and Flyers in the interest of [p]layer safety due to Sunday’s forecast of sunlight with no cloud cover and unseasonably warm temperatures,” the league said in a statement released Saturday afternoon.
The matchup, which takes place at the Edgewood Tahoe Resort in Stateline, Nev., features two regular-season games Saturday, Feb. 20, and Sunday, Feb. 21. Saturday’s matchup between the Colorado Avalanche and Las Vegas Golden Knights was delayed due to sunlight and is scheduled to resume at midnight Eastern. As of this writing, the Avalanche lead the Golden Knights 1-0.
