Giants may be without Daniel Jones and Evan Engram vs. Browns
What was looking like a dream matchup for fantasy owners could quickly turn into a nightmare in New York. Cleveland comes in with the NFL’s 13th worst defense this year. According to USA Today’s Giants beat reporter, Art Stapleton, both quarterback Daniel Jones and Evan Engram are questionable for Sunday’s vital game with the Browns. New York sits just one game back of division-leading Washington.
Jones struggled to play last week with a hamstring injury, and you can now add an ankle issue to the fold. While the Giants QB practiced fully last week, he’s been severely limited going into Week 15. Colt McCoy likely gets the start against Cleveland, meaning all offensive players take a fantasy downgrade.
Even Engram could be one of those downgrades if he can suit up. The Giants tight end is dealing with a calf injury. Back up, Kaden Smith is also walking wounded, dealing with a knee injury. If neither can go, Levine Toilolo would be the only healthy TE on New York’s roster. No secret why the third-stringer is just $4000 on FanDuel.
Maybe worth a flyer if he starts going against a Cleveland defense, giving up the second-most fantasy points to tight ends this season.
