The Indianapolis Colts are similar to the Tennessee Titans in that it’s tough to have a ton of confidence in them particularly on the defensive side of the ball. They can look impressive at times, but in a must-win scenario last week, Indianapolis seemingly allowed Jacksonville to hang around late into the game.
On offense, Phillip Rivers has looked shaky at times, but if you had to pick which unit to trust on Indianapolis, it would probably have to be their defense. The Colts are more than capable of putting together a quality defensive game plan. After all, they are ranked seventh in defensive DVOA, according to Football Outsiders. Though should they manage to win their Wild Card game on Saturday, they’re likely to face even longer odds the following week.
From a fantasy perspective, Colts running back Jonathon Taylor might actually have more value than Ezekiel Elliot. Elliot looked like he started to wear down this season, which can be expected given his position. That will certainly be an interesting debate that the fantasy pundits are sure to have heading into next season.
