Indianapolis Colts vs. Las Vegas Raiders Week 14 Recap
On paper, Derek Carr put up some decent numbers against the Colts. He finished the game with 316 yards and two touchdowns. Carr did throw two interceptions, and one of them led to a pick-six, but it wasn’t entirely his fault. Jalen Richard was likely the culprit after he failed to hold on to a pass that hit his hands, which allowed Colts safety, Khari Willis, to snag the ball out of the air and run it back for a touchdown.
Perhaps this game will be most remembered for what took place prior to kickoff. Raiders running back Josh Jacobs dished out some next-level trolling after tweeting that he would miss Sunday’s game against the Colts. This sent fantasy players into a frenzy, and some bettors might have even changed their bets with that information. Maybe Jacobs was sending a signal that he wasn’t fully healthy because he finished with a quiet day by his standards. Jacobs only rushed for 49 yards and caught three passes for 25 yards but couldn’t find his way into the endzone.
One player that did have a decent game from a fantasy perspective was Nelson Agholor. The former first-rounder had five catches for 100 yards and a touchdown. He still drops some passes every now and then, but he’s been much more of a consistent player lately.
Another player making strides for the Raiders is tight end Darren Waller. Waller finished with seven catches for 75 yards as he continues to make strides to become the third-best tight end in the league behind Travis Kelce and George Kittle. There’s even a chance he leapfrogs Kittle by next year if San Francisco continues to struggle with consistent play from their quarterbacks. Hunter Renfrow gets an honorable mention with five catches for 38 yards, although an untimely fumble in the fourth quarter led to a field goal for the Indianapolis Colts.
