New Orleans Saints backup quarterback Jameis Winston was placed on the COVID-19 reserve list. He will be unavailable for the Saints’ Week 15 matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs after being identified as a high-risk close contact.
Drew Brees was named the starting quarterback Friday after returning to practice earlier in the week from a rib injury. Taysom Hill will resume duties as Brees’ backup.
Brees is priced at $7,500 on FanDuel and faces Chiefs defense that is allowing 17 points to opposing quarterbacks this season. Returning after a four-game absence, Brees has thrown for 2,196 yards and 18 touchdowns this season. Brees will also be without wide receiver Michael Thomas, who was placed on injured reserve with a lagging ankle issue.
The Saints are a 2.5-point home underdog on FanDuel Sportsbook in a game with a 53.5 total.
