Jared Goff is active for the Rams as they get ready to take on the Seahawks on Saturday. Goff missed last week’s game after undergoing surgery on the thumb on his throwing hand. Goff had dislocated that thumb in Week 16. Goff has practiced all week, but questions still abound on whether or not he will start this game. Even if throwing is not a problem, perhaps taking 60+ snaps is as that is constant pounding against that thumb. Maybe it’s handing the ball off that the team is worried about as the running back might grab that thumb by accident while reaching for the ball, and there is always the question of can Goff protect himself while getting hit or tackled. If Goff doesn’t start Saturday, then John Wolford will make his first playoff start.
Goff was inconsistent this past regular season. He did throw for 3,952 yards and 20 touchdowns but also had 13 interceptions. In two games versus Seattle this year, Goff was 51-80 for 536 yards and one interception. The Rams are three-point (-106) underdogs in this contest with an over/under of 42.5. Goff can be started in DFS for $7,000, Wolford for $6,200.
