The Rams have ruled out John Wolford for Saturday’s matchup vs. the Packers, which means Goff will officially be back as the starting quarterback. He played in relief of Wolford last week vs. the Seahawks and ultimately finished with 155 passing yards and one touchdown. He wasn’t asked to do much — he finished with just 19 attempts — but he did average an efficient 9.21 adjusted yards per attempt. Goff is still fighting through his thumb injury, but he has practiced in full to start the week. Blake Bortles will serve as Goff’s backup with Wolford unavailable.
Aaron Donald and Cooper Kupp are the bigger question marks at this point. Both players did not practice on Tuesday or Wednesday, which puts the availability for both in question. That said, The Athletic’s Jourdan Rodrigue reports that Kupp is still “expected to play”, while Donald has previously indicated that he has no intentions of sitting this week. It would be nice if both players could get in a limited practice session on Thursday, but it sounds like they should be on the field vs. the Packers.
