Jeff Teague Ruled out Monday vs. Raptors; Marcus Smart Questionable

The Celtics have the potential to be without two of their top point guards Monday vs. the Raptors. Jeff Teague has already been ruled out with an ankle injury, while Marcus Smart is questionable with a thumb injury. Those two players have averaged a combined 53.7 minutes per game this season, so there would be plenty of playing time up for grabs if both are ultimately ruled out. Kemba Walker also remains for the foreseeable future with a knee injury.
Payton Prichard has been one of the biggest surprises for the Celtics this season, and he’s coming off 27.5 minutes vs. the Pistons in their last game. He has the potential to replace Smart in the starting lineup if he’s ultimately ruled out. Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum could also be asked to carry larger burdens than usual, which makes both players appealing options on FanDuel.
The Celtics and Raptors were two of the best teams in the Eastern Conference last season, and Boston was ultimately able to secure a 4-3 series victory over them in the Eastern Conference semifinals. However, the Raptors are currently listed as four-point home favorites on FanDuel Sportsbook for tonight’s matchup.
