Joel Embiid should be in 76ers lineup Wednesday vs. Celtics
Joel Embiid should be back in uniform for the Sixers in a big Eastern Conference battle with Boston. The Sixers big man has been dealing with right knee pain, and while he’s still dealing with the issue, he appears good enough to go against the Celtics on Wednesday after being in and out of practice on Tuesday. Embiid last played Thursday against the Miami Heat but only put in 24 minutes of court time. Philadelphia benefitted from Sunday’s postponement of their scheduled game with the Thunder, which game Embiid another day of rest. The seven-footer only ended up missing one game, the Sixers Saturday night loss to the Memphis Grizzlies. Embiid’s return will severely devalue Dwight Howard, who picked up 18 rebounds and three blocks in 34 minutes on Saturday.
