Julio Jones will miss his second consecutive game this Sunday against the Buccaneers. This will be the fifth game that Jones has missed this season, and the Falcons are just 1-3 in his absence. The Atlanta wide receiver has been hampered by a hamstring injury that kept him from practicing this week.
Atlanta is also keeping an eye on Calvin Ridley, who’s been dealing with a foot injury of his own. Ridley was a limited participant in practice on both days this week. The former Alabama product is currently listed as questionable on the injury report. Ridley is averaging nine targets per game, but that average jumps to 11 when Jones is inactive.
Russell Gage could be an interesting option in fantasy this week. Gage had one of his most productive games last week with seven targets, five catches, and 82 yards. Fantasy players will probably like to see him have more opportunities in the red zone as he has just 14 targets and two touchdowns compared to Ridley, who has 22 targets and six touchdowns. Nonetheless, Gage is the more economical option at $5,700 versus Ridley who is price tag is $8,400 over at FanDuel.
