D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Julio Jones is now on a week-to-week status for the remainder of the season.
Jones has been battling a hamstring injury for much of the year, and interim head coach Raheem Morris has stated that he will not look to rush his star wide receiver back on the field. Jones was kept out of practice on Wednesday, and it’s unclear if he’ll be available for tomorrow’s practice on Thursday.
Atlanta will face Tampa Bay at home on Sunday, and bettors have wasted little time to back the visiting Buccaneers. Tampa Bay was bet up from 3.5 points earlier in the week to as high as six points over at FanDuel.
While Russell Gage could see more targets should Jones miss some game time, he only has two touchdowns on the season. Calvin Ridley remains the more likely target in the red zone for the Falcons.
