Kawhi Leonard and Paul George surprisingly back in Clippers lineup Friday vs. Magic
The Los Angeles Clippers got a pleasant surprise on Friday as superstars Paul George and Kawhi Leonard were cleared of the league’s health and safety protocols. Both players were expected to be out at least a week for COVID-19 contact tracing as of last Monday. The NBA was satisfied with their findings and declared Leonard and George, who did not initially make the road trip, fit to return to the team for Friday night’s game in Orlando. In all, LA missed the pair for just two games they ended up splitting with a win Thursday against the Miami Heat after losing to Atlanta on Tuesday. Kawhi and George are 1-2 in team scoring, with Leonard putting up 25.9 and George 23.9 points per game. The former Raptor also leads the team in assists, with Paul right behind him with his 5.4 assists per game. Both men are expected to jump right into their typical workloads, which is bad news for the rag-tag bunch that filled in during their absence. The Clippers floored quite a few mystery players like Terance Mann along with seldomly used Reggie Jackson and Luke Kennard. Kennard may continue to hold minimal value while the other two will return to fantasy irrelevance.
