Kevin Love will be out at least 3-4 weeks
The oft-injured Kevin Love finds himself on the shelf yet again. Love left in the second quarter of Sunday’s win over the Sixers with a re-aggravated calf injury. The Cavaliers big man missed the season-opener with the same injury and has been dealing with the calf issue for a while. Cleveland won’t even re-evaluate Love for three to four weeks, so it looks like the Cavs will be without his services for a while. Larry Nance Jr. should be picked up in all fantasy leagues where still available. Nance is taken in about 65% of leagues and holds a cap-friendly $5500 cost in FanDuel’s DFS. Nance should get plenty of opportunities in Tuesday night’s favorable matchup with the Knicks.
Cedi Osman, who has played great so far this season, should also benefit from Love out of the lineup. Osman is putting up career-highs with 15.7 points and hitting three shots from behind the arc per game. The Macedonian forward is hanging around in around 90 percent of leagues. Isaac Okoro should also see a bump when he returns from a foot sprain and clears the NBA’s health and safety protocols.
Cleveland has been one of the biggest surprises in the NBA this season, getting off to a 3-0 start. The Cavs are favored against the Knicks on FanDuel’s Sportsbook and could very well improve to 4-0 on Tuesday night.
