Leonard Fournette will start at running back for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports.
Fournette will take over lead back duties in place of Ronald Jones, who landed on the COVID-19 reserve list earlier in the week.
A healthy scratch in Week 14, Fournette took scout team reps during the week and appeared to have had a good week in practice, Rapoport said.
In nine games played this season, Fournette has averaged 3.93 yards per carry and has landed in the endzone three times. Priced at $5,300 on FanDuel, Fournette provides salary relief for rosters. However, he faces an Atlanta Falcons defense that has allowed 14.8 points to opposing running backs this season.
The Buccaneers are a 6.5-point road favorite on FanDuel Sportsbook in a game with a 49.5 total.
