Michael Porter Jr. will play for Nuggets for first time in nearly a month Friday vs. Suns
The Denver Nuggets will have Michael Porter Jr. back in the lineup for the first time since December 29 when he suits up against the Suns on Friday night. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Porter has finally been cleared for game action. MPJ tested positive for COVID-19 way back in late December and has been working his way back ever since. Before being shelved, the Nuggets forward was putting up top-10 value in 9-category fantasy leagues. Granted, it was only four games, but the 22-year-old really looked like he’s jumped up his game. Porter scored a season-high 30 points while adding ten boards in his last game for the Nuggs in that game against the Kings last month. If you’re lucky enough to be in one of the seven percent of leagues that gave up on Porter, pick him up immediately. Will Barton, who has been stating in Porter’s place, looks to be the player most affected by the youngster’s return. It might not happen right away as Porter ups his conditioning, but eventually, Barton will see a hit to his minutes.
