Matthew Boyd will miss his next scheduled start for the Tigers, NBCSports.com reports. Boyd has a knee injury and, as of now, isn’t expected to need a trip to the injury list and could return as soon as next weekend versus the Twins.
Victor Robles is out of the lineup Saturday versus the Marlins, RotoWire.com reports. This will be the third time this season that Robles has missed a start. However, he should be back in the lineup Sunday.
Omar Narvaez may need a trip to the injury list for the Brewers, RotoWire.com. Narvaez had to leave the game Friday due to a hamstring injury and will have additional tests before the Brewers decided their next course of action.
Jesse Winker is out of the lineup Saturday for the Reds, according to NBCSports.com. Winker had to leave the game Friday due to back tightness and likely was given today off to rest. However, the Reds don’t believe this is a serious injury, and he could play as soon as Sunday.
Brandon Crawford could miss the game Saturday for the Giants, NBCSports.com reports. Crawford suffered a left calf contusion in the loss Friday. His status as of now is unknown.
Willson Contreras is out of the starting lineup Saturday for the Cubs, RotoWire.com reports. Contreras had to leave the game Saturday due to tightness in his thigh. With Saturday being a day game after a night game, Contreras may not have started Saturday even if his thigh wasn’t hurting.
The Indians placed Franmil Reyes on the paternity list Saturday, according to NBCSports.com. Reyes could miss a game or two as he and his family celebrate the arrival of their child.
