Well, that didn’t take long. Mickelson made history last Sunday, becoming the oldest player in PGA Tour history to win a major championship, and he expressed his desire to team up with Brady in another match. He got his wish, and this time, they’ll take the course against DeChambeau and Rodgers. “The Match” will take place on July 6 and be played at Moonlight Basin in Big Sky, Montana.
This will be the second time Mickelson and Brady have teamed up for a golf match. They previously lost to the duo of Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning despite a valiant comeback effort. Mickelson and Brady dropped three of the first six holes in that contest, but wins on Hole 11 and Hole 14 left them just one down with four to play.
It will be interesting to see how this match is eventually priced on FanDuel Sportsbook. There are no odds available currently, but I would have to imagine that DeChambeau and Rodgers will be the favorites. That said, public sentiment will almost certainly lie with the older players.
