Didi Gregorius has signed a two-year deal to remain in Philadelphia. The Phillies have amped up their offseason by bringing back a couple of critical offensive pieces from last season. Earlier this week J.T. Realmuto signed a five-year $115.5 million contract to remain in Philadelphia, and now Gregorius is back with the club.
In his first season with the Phillies, Gregorius played in all 60 games and hit 10 HRs, drove in 40 runs, with a .284 average.
The National League East is looking like one of the stronger divisions in baseball as the Mets have been rejuvenated under new ownership plus the additions of Francisco Lindor and Carlos Carrasco. The Braves won the division last season and are still the favorites to do so again this year, while the Nationals won the World Series the last time a full season was played. The Phillies are currently +3300 to win the World Series, +1800 to win the National League, and +700 to win the National League East.
