Raheem Mostert, Nick Mullens Exit Game Early vs. Cowboys

Mostert was dealing with an ankle injury prior to this contest, which caused him to miss some practice time early in the week. That said, he got in a full practice on Friday and was operating as the team’s clear lead back on Sunday. He finished with 14 carries for 68 yards, but he appeared to aggravate his ankle injury and was forced to leave the game.
Jeff Wilson Jr. took over after Mostert departed, and he ultimately led the team with 16 carries. He also managed to find the endzone, resulting in 12.0 FanDuel points. He would likely draw the start and handle the majority of the backfield opportunities if Mostert is unable to suit up next week vs. the Cardinals.
Mullens was also unable to finish the game on Sunday. He exited with an elbow injury, which ultimately ended a disappointing day vs. the Cowboys. He finished with 219 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions against a defense that has been vulnerable against the pass this season. C.J. Beathard finished the game at quarterback, and head coach Kyle Shanahan said that he would not commit to choosing a starter ahead of their Week 16 game. Even if Mullens’ elbow injury isn’t serious, it sounds like there’s a chance the 49ers could have a new starting quarterback next week.
