Raheem Mostert will play in mouthwatering matchup with Cowboys
Straight from the horse’s mouth, Raheem Mostert will play against the Cowboys on Sunday. Head coach Kyle Shanahan told 49ers NBC beat reporter Matt Maiocco his running back will indeed suit up for a fantastic meeting with Dallas.
The Cowboys are easily giving up the most rush yards the year, allowing 162 per game. Dallas is also giving up a league-high 5.1 yards per carry and has allowed 17 touchdowns on the ground this season. San Fran has mostly faced formidable run defenses, so they’ll welcome Dallas as their softest matching of the year.
Mostert, who has been nursing an ankle injury, was removed entirely from the injury report but still may share carries with teammate Jeff Wilson. The duo has been being used in tandem with Mostert leading Wilson in carries, 39 to 30. While both backs could be a factor against the Cowboys, expect a healthy Mostert to lead the way. The RB2 should still pay off for his rather expensive $6900 FanDuel price tag. If you’re looking to save a few bucks, you can roster Wilson for $5800. He’s also available in over 40% of traditional leagues.
