Rams Activate Andrew Whitworth Off Injured Reserve

This is a huge boost for the Rams heading into the playoffs. Whitworth suffered a torn MCL and a damaged PCL in Week 10 vs. the Seahawks, and he has been out of the lineup ever since. Whitworth was ranked as the No. 4 offensive tackle in football this season according to Pro Football Focus, and he also owns the third-highest mark as a pass protector at the position.
The Rams are going to need their offensive line at full strength given their current quarterback situation. Jared Goff has officially been listed as questionable for their Saturday matchup vs. the Seahawks, and he missed last week’s contest vs. the Cardinals after undergoing thumb surgery. If Goff cannot suit up, John Wolford will be asked to make his second career start.
Whoever is under center will face a challenge from Seattle, who has improved massively on defense since the start of the season. They’ve allowed 23 points or fewer in each of their past eight games, and they’ve allowed an average of just 16.0 points per game over that time frame.
The Rams are currently listed as 3.5-point underdogs on FanDuel Sportsbook, while the total sits at 42.5 points.
