Report: “All Things Fluid” With Russell Wilson Situation
February 14Matt LaMarcaSportsGrid
Things are getting interesting between Wilson and the Seahawks. The Seahawks remain adamant that they do not want to trade Wilson, and Wilson reportedly hasn’t officially asked to be traded. That said, Pro Football Talk reports that “all things are fluid”.
Wilson has been on a media tour recently, and he has expressed displeasure with the franchise’s direction. They recently made a change at offensive coordinator, with Shane Waldron taking over in place of Brian Schottenheimer. Schottenheimer and head coach Pete Carroll reportedly did not see eye-to-eye about the offensive, with Carroll preferring to return to a more run-heavy approach next season.
A change of scenery remains a long shot, but it would almost certainly be a positive for fantasy owners. Carroll has long wasted Wilson’s prime, and a new team would be more likely to utilize his elite skill set.
The Seahawks are currently listed at +2000 to win the Super Bowl on FanDuel Sportsbook, but those odds would fall off a table if Wilson is traded.
