Report: Cooper Kupp Will Miss Week 17 Matchup vs. Cardinals
December 30Matt LaMarcaSportsGrid
Kupp was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list earlier this week, and the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport is reporting that he has tested positive for the virus. That means that he will not be able to clear the NFL’s COVID-19 protocols in time to suit up in Week 17 vs. the Cardinals.
Jared Goff is currently listed as doubtful for the Rams’ season finale, so it seems like the Rams will be missing their starting quarterback and one of their top wide receivers. They have already solidified their playoff spot and have no chance of catching the Seahawks for the NFC West crown, so the only question is whether the Rams will finish fifth, sixth, or seventh in the NFC.
On the other hand, the Cardinals have everything to play for in Week 17. They need a win over the Rams to have a chance to qualify for the postseason, and they’re currently listed as one-point underdogs on FanDuel Sportsbook.
