The DeeJay will not be spinning again any time soon. He had to be carted off the field Sunday vs. Washington, and Ian Rapoport is reporting that Dallas is dealing with a Grade 3 ankle sprain. That is expected to sideline him for multiple weeks, potentially ending his season.
The good news for the Seahawks is that they have plenty of options at the position at the moment. Starter Chris Carson returned to the lineup in Week 12, and he led the team with 15 carries vs. Washington. Carlos Hyde has also seen plenty of playing time for the Seahawks recently, and he ripped off a 50-yard touchdown run last week. Former first-round pick Rashaad Penny was also activated off the IR last week, and he made his season debut with two carries vs. Washington. With all three players healthy, it seemed unlikely that Dallas would have had much of a role with the Seahawks anyway.
The Seahawks have already secured a playoff spot, and they can lock up the NFC West with a win over the Rams in Week 16. The Rams trail the Seahawks by one game in the standings following their disastrous loss vs. the Jets on Sunday.
