Report: Michael Thomas Expected to Practice Wednesday

Thomas was placed on injured reserve in Week 14, but he is trending in the right direction. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that Thomas is expected to practice on a limited basis on Wednesday before ramping up his activity later in the week. That puts him on track to suit up in the Saints’ Wild Card matchup vs. the Bears on Sunday.
It sounds as though Alvin Kamara will also be available for the Saints. He’s currently on the reserve/COVID-19 list, but he’s eligible to come off Saturday as long as he continues to test negative. Head coach Sean Payton said that he’d “consider” playing Kamara even if he doesn’t practice before Sunday’s contest, but he will almost certainly play if that’s the case.
The Saints are expected to take care of business at home in the first round of the playoffs. They’re currently favored by 9.5 points on FanDuel Sportsbook, making them the largest favorites on Wild Card weekend.
