Sabres’ Jack Eichel will miss at least Buffalo’s next practice

Well, this is certainly not the start the Sabres were hoping for in their preseason. Jack Eichel was injured in training and will miss at least the team’s next practice. The Sabres’ superstar sustained an upper-body injury before camp, and Buffalo is being cautious with it. While it doesn’t sound serious missing, any practices is not ideal in a shortened training camp.
Buffalo has big hopes this year as they’ve added offensive dynamo Taylor Hall to the mix, who is expected to complement Eichel greatly. Eichel is coming off the best season of his young career after putting up 36 goals, and 78 points in a pandemic shortened 68 games. The Sabres’ captain should be considered day-to-day.
