Tigers’ Make Roster Moves Ahead Of Series Finale With Mariners

The Tigers announced two roster moves ahead of Thursday’s game with the Mariners. First, Detroit placed Derek Hill on the 10-day injury list after the outfielder straining his shoulder crashing into a wall while making a catch in the first inning.
(1/2) Prior to today's game vs. Seattle, the Tigers made the following roster moves:
* Placed OF Derek Hill on the 10-day injured list with a right shoulder sprain.
* Placed LHP Derek Holland on the 10-day injured list with left shoulder inflammation.
The injury is viewed to be a Grade 1 strain that requires the least amount of time to heal. To fill his roster spot, the Tigers called up outfielder Daz Cameron from Triple-A Toledo. Cameron has a .338./.400/.558 slash line along with two home runs for Toledo.
Detroit also placed left-hander Derek Holland on the IL with shoulder inflammation. Holland has been roughed up this season as he has a 9.60 ERA with a 2.07 WHIP in 14 appearances. His spot in the bullpen will be filled by Alex Lange, who really wasn’t much better with the Tigers. In 13 1/3 innings this season, Lange has a 7.43 ERA and a 1.73 WHIP.
