Trevor Lawrence will have shoulder surgery on Tuesday. The surgery will be on his left labrum, and it’s expected to take anywhere from 5-6 months before he can throw again. While that sounds ominous, let’s remember a couple of things here. First, Lawrence is right-handed, so this surgery is to his non-throwing shoulder. Second, even at six months, he should be available for most if not all of training camp. Yes. There is a problem as well. The expected recovery time means that Lawrence won’t be able to participate physically in any mini-camps. That’s assuming, of course, that there are mini-camps this year. Still, Lawrence is expected to be drafted first overall this April by the Jacksonville Jaguars.
