Victor Oladipo and DeMarcus Cousins Ruled Out Monday vs. Bulls
February 22Matt LaMarcaSportsGrid
Oladipo is currently dealing with a foot injury, which has caused him to miss each of the Rockets’ past three games. There was some hope that he’d be able to return to the lineup on Monday, but he’s been officially ruled out.
DeMarcus Cousins has also been ruled out for this contest. He and the Rockets have reportedly agreed to part ways, but he was initially expected to suit up in this contest. Christian Wood remains out of the lineup, so the Rockets will be extremely thin at center with both players inactive. That said, P.J. Tucker is on track to suit up after missing the past two games with a foot injury.
With Oladipo and Cousins officially out, expect John Wall and Eric Gordon to handle most of the offensive responsibilities vs. the Bulls. Wall leads the team with a 35.2% usage rate with Oladipo, Cousins, Wood, and James Harden off the court this season, while Gordon has seen the largest boost in fantasy value. Both players are elite targets on Monday’s FanDuel slate.
The Rockets are currently listed as 1.5-point home underdogs vs. the Bulls on FanDuel Sportsbook.
