Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network is reporting Washington Football Team quarterback Alex Smith is hopeful to start in a Week 15 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks.
Smith is dealing with a calf strain and while the team is cautiously optimistic, backup quarterback Dwayne Haskins Jr. would start if Smith is unable to play.
In the five games Smith has started this season, he has thrown for 1,420 yards and 4 touchdowns, with an average 6.5 yards per attempt.
The Washington Football Team are listed as a 5.5-point home underdog against the Seahawks at home on Fanduel Sportsbook. If healthy, Smith will face a Seahawks defense that has allowed 21.35 points to opposing quarterbacks this season and 27.78 points to opposing wide receivers.
Smith is priced at $6,500 on Fanduel, providing salary relief for Sunday’s 11-game slate.
