The fantasy football playoffs are now only two or three weeks away, we can taste Thanksgiving dinner as hundreds of thousands of leagues get decided, and well, the entire NFL is trying to get infected with COVID it feels like. At this point, over 33% of NFL teams are dealing with a COVID infection or breakout. One of the things I am personally doing with high stakes teams that are destined for the playoffs is making sure to have backup kickers and defenses. Imagine how tilted you would be to have a chance at $500,000 only to lose out because your kicker got placed on the COVID list or your DST’s game got canceled due to an outbreak. These are the sort of contingencies we need to start building in and thinking about.
Another key point as we have such clear pictures on who and what teams are this season is that I am making a lot of tie breaks in favors of teams whose offenses look great. There are plenty of scenarios where you might find yourself looking at something like TY Hilton vs Christian Kirk or Logan Thomas vs Jacob Hollister and feel as it it is a true coin flip. Whenever I have it projected close or feel as if the decision ultimately doesn’t matter all that much, I am making an effort to go with the players on Seattle/Arizona/Buffalo/Kansas City whenever possible because those teams can legitimately score 40+ points in any given game. With that covered, let’s head into our Week 10 fantasy football rankings.
