Zion Williamson Cleared to Return Friday vs. Lakers

Williamson missed the Pelicans’ last game due to health and safety protocols, but he has been cleared to return to the lineup Friday vs. the Lakers. Lonzo Ball and Eric Bledsoe also missed their last contest with injuries, but there has been no update on their status for Friday.
Williamson has gotten off to a solid start in his sophomore campaign. He’s averaged 21.9 points and 8.1 rebounds, resulting in an average of 35.87 FanDuel points per game. That said, he has been slightly less productive on a per-minute basis than he was as a rookie, so he has some room for growth moving forward.
Nickeil Alexander-Walker exploded for a career-high 37 points on 15-23 shooting with all three players out of the lineup. He likely won’t need to do as much scoring with Williamson active, but he would still be an appealing target on FanDuel if Ball and Bledsoe cannot suit up once again.
