Tim Tebow Refusing To Rule Out Politics Because Of Course He’s Not
March 29 / Gregg Sussman / SportsGrid
We wish we were making this up. We also wish we didn't feed into the narrative. But we also can't help ourselves.
Tim Tebow was a fantastic college quarterback at the University of Florida. His skills, looks, religion and abstinence swept the nation when the Denver Broncos made him a first round pick. After relying on miracles to make the playoffs (miracles named Matt Prater and Marion Barber to be exact) and win a game in those playoffs (miracles named Demaryius Thomas, Tebow was traded to the Jets where he couldn't pass a quarterback that runs into the ass of his own lineman. Of course that quarterback is now the starter for Tebow's old Broncos franchise.
Tebow would flame out in Patriots and Eagles camp, but since then he has developed a major role at ESPN, for the SEC Network, as well as doing work for Good Morning America. Tebow is super likable and really hasn't done much to acquire the cult like following and hate that he has developed. But is he likable enough to be President?
In an age where Donald Trump is the Republican front runner, where Kanye West has stated he plans to run for the nation's highest honor in 2020, does Tim Tebow really sound like that bad of a candidate? The man just wants to give hope, to make a difference!
As Tebow says in the video below, via "Fox and Friends", this election cycle has been crazy and the idea of jumping into politics is intriguing. Is anyone else pumped for JJ Redick to be his running mate?
