HS Football Players Gone Wild: Now A Kid Smeared IcyHot In Opponent’s Face
So now it's time to choose your favorite high school football attack of the season so far:
* In San Antonio, two players tackled/speared a referee on purpose, later claiming that their coach told them to di t.
* Again in San Antonio, a player rushed a ref and shoved him after drawing a flag.
* In New Jersey, a player tore off an opponent's helmet and struck in the head with it.
* And now in Los Angeles, it's being reported that a player for Salesian High School rubbed IcyHot on the face of a La Canada High player during a game on Sept. 4. The player, Angel Salazar, had to be rushed off the field to deal with the burning topical cream, says CBS-Los Angeles.
Hazing, of an opponent, during a game?
The player who allegedly attacked his opponent appeared to have the cream smeared on his football pants, then applying it to the other player's face.
So far, no action has been taken against the offending player. Refs didn't see the attack at the time, and school officials are still looking at video and talking with witnesses.
