Ben Carson And The A-Rod Syndrome: Candidate Has This Portrait Hanging In His Maryland Mansion
Confirmed: Ben Carson and Jesus are best buds. At least that's what this painting indicates, as displayed in Carson's Upperco, Maryland mansion. But close friendships can be tricky:
CARSON: "Hey Jesus, if you're not doing anything on Saturday, can you help me move?"
JESUS (reclining by the pool): "Um, this weekend's kind of bad for me ..."

According to this NY Post report, Carson's place sits on 48 acres in Baltimore County, and the home has 12 bedrooms, eight bathrooms, and many rooms are "shrines to Carson's career." There are awards and artifacts everywhere, among them:
A marble engraving above a fireplace in the living proclaims: ‘By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches and honor and life – poverbs 22:4.' Unfortunately, Proverbs is misspelt.
Another wall bears a portrait of Carson in his surgeon’s coat. Over in the hallway, is a striking portrait of Carson… with Jesus. Carson is again, wearing a surgeon’s coat over scrubs, and Jesus has an arm on his shoulder.
So, this is humility? Sports fans are very familiar with this: this disconnect between myth and reality; the inflated ego that led Alex Rodriguez to commission a portrait of a centaur with his upper torso. Now that we've seen this, will the typical middle class voter be repulsed, or indifferent? How is this humility? And how is Jesus, with meathooks like that, not in the NBA or UFC?
