Lenny Dykstra used to be known as an All Star third baseman. He was a two-time World Series champion and a legendary figure. But that's all changed. Today, he's a steroid abuser, a criminal and a liar. But all of that added up makes for a fantastic book. It also makes for a fantastic interview, that really only Howard Stern could pull off.
Dykstra released his autobiograpy, "House of Nails" today and it's full of everything you would expect. From stories involving Charlie Sheen and crack, to partying with Jack Nicholson and Mickey Rourke, to blackmailing umpires, Dykstra goes full on nuts. This morning he went on the Howard Stern show to promote the book, and the interview was nothing short of brilliant.
Dykstra dove right into how he would would investigate the lives of the home plate umpires before games. For example, if he discovered that an umpire was cheating on his wife, he made sure the umpire knew what he discovered as he stepped up to the plate. You could call him a twisted Sherlock Holmes of sorts. Dykstra also made sure to give credit to Darryl Strawberry's "Loch Ness Monster" of a penis, referring to it as a "hammer". Of course that had nothing on Dykstra's own "PC" or perfect cut penis.
However, the part that interested us most (and that you can listen to below), was Lenny Dkystra the gigolo. Although he refers to his conquests as "companionships", we think it's pretty clear what's going on. Lenny lost all of his money, went to prison and had a hard time and now he's looking for a little love. Dykstra is having sex with woman who might very well be old enough to be your grandmother. As he mentions to Stern, he is regularly getting paid to sleep with women in their 70s and 80s. Every woman needs a little lovin and Dykstra is just happy to provide the service.
