First Male Winner Of America’s Top Model Is A Former NY Giants’ Receiver
All those who had a former Purdue Boilermaker football player as the first male winner of America's Top Model, step forward and collect your winnings.
Keith Carlos played running back and wide receiver at Purdue, then went on to earn a spot on the New York Giants' preseason roster before being waived due to an injury in 2013. Fortunately, he had a backup plan.
Runway cleared for takeoff.
Keith Carlos is unveiled as the first male winner of America's Next Top Model. Carlos thanked his mentors including Tyra Banks and added: "This one is also for the men out there trying to succeed in a female dominated industry."
I've never seen ATP so I don't know how it works, but apparently it involves getting your picture taken, and walking on a runway. And fashion. Sounds pretty easy -- especially when you consider his previous job. Your move, Eli Manning.
Carlos' prize? He gets a contract with Next Model Management and a spread in Nylon magazine. And as Giselle can tell you, top models make more than top NFL players, so Carlos did pretty well.
