Former Miss America Loses World Series Bet With Husband, Has To Name Their Baby ‘Wrigley’
And speaking of things we never thought would happen in our lifetime, remember when the Cubs won the World Series earlier this month. No man, that wasn't a dream -- it happened. And now because of that, there's a baby in the world named Wrigley.
This child has never known a time when the Cubs were not world champions. I'm sure there are some people alive today who know that feeling from the day they were born -- only they're now 108 years old.
But I'll bet they weren't the offspring of a former Miss America. Baby Wrigley here is the son of Katie Stam Irk, Miss America 2009, and her husband Brian Irk. The baby was born on Halloween, but the parents depalyed naming him to see which team would win the World Series.
They agreed that if the Cubs won it all, he would be Wrigley Oliver Irk. If they lost, it would be Oliver Wrigley Irk.
Either way his name sounds like a Harry Potter character, so what's the difference?
"Wrigley Irk. Better be ... Hufflepuff!"
